The Equity Partners investment team contains a combined 35+ years of private equity experience across a broad range of industries and investment types.

 

 

Quentin Jones BA Ll.B

PARTNER

Quentin has 17 years’ private equity experience. Prior to joining Equity Partners in 2000, he worked in a specialist media and communications fund and before that he worked in the private equity investment division of AIDC Ltd, one of Australia's largest development capital investors until it was sold by the Federal Government in 1997.

Quentin was the Chairman of AVCAL in 2006 and served on its Board from 2002 to 2007.

Before joining AIDC Quentin worked as a lawyer in the insolvency and corporate divisions of Deacons.

 

 

 

Rajeev Dhawan BComm, CA, MBA

PARTNER

Rajeev has 17 years’ private equity experience. Prior to joining Equity Partners in 2005, he worked at Hambro-Grantham Management/Colonial First State Private Equity (CFSPE) from 1993, where he focused on mid size expansion capital and buyouts. He was a Director from 1998 and led the majority of CFSPE’s investments from then.

Prior to the private equity industry, Rajeev was a Manager in the Financial Consulting Practice of Arthur Andersen.

 

 

 

Tom Fennell BAcc, CA, ASIA

INVESTMENT DIRECTOR

Tom has over 10 years’ private equity experience.  Prior to joining Equity Partners in 2007, he was an Investment Director with Colonial First State Private Equity, where he led a number of successful mid-market expansion capital and buyout transactions.

Prior to the private equity industry, Tom was a Senior Manager in the Corporate Recovery Practice of Arthur Andersen, where he reviewed listed and private companies in distressed situations for financiers and managed various insolvency administrations.

 

 

 

Greg Wang BCom, CA, MBA

INVESTMENT MANAGER

Greg joined the Equity Partners team in 2008 with a strong background in investment banking and corporate finance.

Prior to joining the team, Greg was an Executive at Greenhill Caliburn, where he worked on a significant number of major M&A transactions and capital raisings. Prior to this, Greg was an Associate Director with KordaMentha and prior to that with Ernst & Young, where he worked on the restructuring and performance improvement of underperforming corporations.

 

 

       
 

 

Phil Kwong, B.Com (Liberal Studies)

INVESTMENT ANALYST

Phil joined the Equity Partners team in 2010. Prior to joining Equity Partners, he was an analyst at MLC Investment Management where he worked as part of the institutional consulting team.

Phil holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Liberal Studies) from the University of Sydney and has completed all three levels of the CFA Program.

Sue Rosen, BA(Hons), CA

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Sue joined Equity Partners in 2007, following 10 years with recruitment company, Hamilton James & Bruce, which included the transition from a privately held boutique consultancy to a publicly listed national company. Prior to that Sue managed the finance teams in a number of private companies both in Sydney and in London.

Sue commenced her career in practice with Coopers & Lybrand in London and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
